Quality Standards

The ZF Brand

The ZF brand means quality, efficiency and innovation. That is why each remanufactured driveline component, be it a transmission, axle or steering system, is thoroughly tested before it leaves our facility. We pride ourselves on our quality standards which is why we operate a system of continual monitoring and improvement.

Quality Standards - ISO compliance

ZF Great Britain (ZFGB) is the wholly owned UK Sales and Service Organisation subsidiary of ZF AG. We are registered to ISO 9001:2000 via a Quality Management "Matrix" system, in which the global ZF Sales and Service Organisation is assessed by Registrars Det Norske Veritas QA.

The Quality and Business Development Department in our HQ in Friedrichshafen monitors the ZF Service Stations through an annual reporting system, and this department is visited by the Registrar on an annual basis. DNV QA will also audit the ZF Service Stations independently on a periodic basis, ZFGB receiving a visit from DNV in July 2000 and as part of the Group recertification in July 2002 and forthcoming audit again by DNV in July 2007.

The current Certification stipulates that all Service Stations operate under the same "permissible exclusion" in the Scope of Supply, which is that Clause 7.3 Design and Development is not applicable to the Sales and Service Organisation, as all such activity is the responsibility of the ZF Manufacturing sites.

In addition to ISO 9001, ZFGB operates to the requirements laid down by a global Business Process Management System specific to the ZF Sales and Service Organisation.
